Luxembourg is a tiny European nation with a population of less than half a million situated in a pocket of land between Germany, Belgium and France. Although dwarfed in size by its neighbours, and most other European countries, it surpasses them in many ways, with its excellent economic situation and quality of life.
The capital, Luxembourg City, is a cosmopolitan and modern city which offers loads of things to do and see. Just as impressive are the rural areas with a mixture of forests, ski resorts and wine vineyards.

Luxembourg City – Tiny for a capital city but that does not prevent Luxembourg City from being an important, interesting and culturally rich place. Easy to cover by foot, the city is beautiful throughout with some spectacular architecture and picturesque plazas and streets.
Luxembourg Ardennes – The Ardennes are situated in the far north of Luxembourg and are a great area to visit. Spectacular varied terrain, awe inspiring castles and pretty rustic villages make this region really special.
Vianden – This is probably the most impressive village in the Ardennes region. Vianden is picturesque throughout and has an amazing cliff top castle as its centrepiece.
Moselle Valley – This area is best known for its vineyards and it is one of the best wine making regions in Europe. Moselle Valley also boasts some delightful villages and interesting countryside.
Müllerthal – Situated in the north-east of Luxembourg City, this is the place to go for outdoor pursuits. The woodland of Müllerthal is great for walking, hiking, jogging, cycling or simply relaxing. |
